Hosts Beck Llyod and Khadijah Roberts-Abdullah share their experience working in theatre, commenting on the richness of the African language and literature. In spite of the wealth of stories, there is little incentive for translation into the English language, only the complications caused due to the political intricacies in translation. 

Moderated by world literature scholar, Mathais Iroro Orhero from McGill University, this episode features a conversation with Dr. Mũkoma wa Ngũgĩ, Associate Professor of Literatures in English at Cornell University and the author of The Rise of the African Novel: Politics of Language, Identity and Ownership (2018), as well as novels and books of poetry.
